Our School Day and Collective Worship

Daily Routines

Breakfast Club

St Mary’s runs a small Breakfast Club for up to 10 children from 8.00 – 9.00 am every school day.

The playground is open from 8.30 am. Before the start of the school day parents and children should enter the site through the Enford Street entrance and wait in the playground.

The main playground is supervised from 8.50 to 9 o’clock by a classroom assistant (Mrs Arnold).

Children must be supervised by the adult who brought them until 9 o’clock. Children should only be allowed into the building before 9.00 am in an emergency or for valid reasons. Each class has a lunch box monitor to bring packed lunches into the hall at the start of the day – individual children should not come into school early to do this.

Children are not allowed to play football before school as it is a hazard for families waiting in the playground. Also, scooters should not be ridden in the playground.

F2 and F1 morning/ full-time children enter using the gate from the main playground, through the Foundation Stage outdoor area.

Year 1, 2, 3 and 4 children enter their classrooms directly from the playground. Year 5 and Year 6 children come upstairs to access their classrooms.
