We believe that all children have a right to a peaceful, happy, unthreatened school life, free from anxiety. We do not accept bullying of any kind; verbal (e.g. name calling, mocking, harassing or threatening), physical (e.g. kicking or punching) or psychological (e.g. threatening, excluding or ganging-up).
If an instance of bullying has occurred, the school has a policy of ‘no blame’ for the first offence. This is to reassure victims that it is safe to speak up.
The offender is counselled about his or her behaviour, but if it happens again, measures are taken against the offender that involves the parents of both the bully and the victim.
