We had an incredible collection of costumes today as children and staff celebrated World Book Day. In Years 1-6 children dressed up as a word for our Vocabulary Parade; children in EYs dressed up as book characters.
This afternoon, Year 6 played tag rugby against Wetherby Prep School at their sports’ ground in West London.
Ms Granite said that the class played brilliantly, scoring quite a number of tries. In the end, the score was tied between the two schools.
This is a great opportunity for our pupils to play against a different sort of school (Wetherby is a boys’ independent school), in a much larger space than our school playground.
The children have been able to demonstrate their well-developed Games skills, which they have acquired due to high quality Sports teaching at St Mary’s.
Well done!
